Tripura declares three days of 'total lockdown' in entire area of state

AGARTALA, July (TIWN):With the increasing numbers of Covid positive cases the Tripura government has decided to impose complete lockdown in entire state.
The lockdown is in place for three days, starting from July 27.
Manoj Kumar, chief secretary and chairman of the State Executive Committee stated that the district administration will demarcate the areas of lockdown. In the order he stated, "Under Section 22 (2) (h) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 direct enforcement of Total Lockdown in entire area of the state of Tripura for 3 days w.e.f. 5 AM of 27th July 2020 (Monday) to 5 AM on 30th July, 2020 (Thursday). This will be in continuation of night curfew to be enforce at 9 PM on 26th July (Sunday).
In recent days the Covid positive cases are spiking up with an alarming not, making the death toll 11 at total. The total number of Covid-19 cases in the state is 3759 at present.
