Wild elephants damaged rubber forest, tension prevails among locals

AGARTALA, July 24 (TIWN): A group of wild elephants have damaged a huge number of rubber trees in Chankhala area. The area falls under Kalyanpur's Ghilatali gram Panchayat.
Reportedly, on Thursday mid-night a group of wild elephants entered in Chankhala rubber from a forest near by. The elephants have damaged various essential plants including huge number of rubber trees.
It came to know that the market price of the damaged items will be around 50 to 60 thousands.
