AGARTALA, July 19 (TIWN): The neighboring Bangladesh Government will not reduce the excise duty on Tripura tea imports as the Government there is trying to boost own economy based on domestic productions in tea sectors.
Recently, in a programme, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb has said so. However, the CM has also mentioned that Bangladesh Govt has reduced excise duties in many other sectors.
Deb has requested his state’s people to consume more local tea products, so that Govt can develop economy by own tea.
CM told public that since he is the CM, he didn’t drink any other tea than Tripura tea.
