AGARTALA, July 3 (TIWN): Congress leader Gopal Roy has condemned broad day light attack on Ex-BJP senior leader Prasenjit Chakarborty by miscreants.

In a statement, Gopal Roy said, “I condemn the heinous attacks on Prasanjit Chakraborty , by BJP miscreants today, who has resigned from BJP due to anti people activities headed by CM Biplab Deb. The hooligans of present govt, trying to stop the human rights and democratic movements in Tripura. The slogans agaisnt  this govt has already been raised by common people which would be beyond control in future and unsupressable in the long run”.

Senior BJP cum RSS leader, who was almost as the founder leader of BJP Prasenjit Chakraborty, resigned from party on yesterday, announcing to start his own party in Tripura. Soon, after the announcement, Prasenjit Chakraborty faced violent attacks today in his own home at Agartala. Earlier also, before resigning, Chakraborty was heavily attacked. Aftermath the attack, Prasenjit Chakraborty was taken to hospital as he was bleeding.
