AGARTALA, June 25 (TIWN): A formal inauguration of the much awaited Sonamura port to be held in July 2020. This will be the first port connectivity in Tripura.

Chief Minister Biplab Deb said this while addressing at Jampuijala Subdivision, in an inauguration programme of newly constructed Jampuijala SDM Office building.

CM said that this investment will minimize Tripura’s transport carriage costs at least half.

He also added that from Varanasi also exports and imports will be done and gradually it will be connected with the rest of the area.

After formal launching, there will be road construction works and few other basic jobs to do to develop the port over river Gomati.
