AGARTALA, June 23 (TIWN): Dipa Karmakar, the Indian artistic gymnast who first gained attention when she won a bronze medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, becoming the first Indian female gymnast to do so in the history of the Games, pride of Tripura has observed Olympic Day in her home.

Her coach Bisweswar Nandi was present with her. They had some practice in free hand exercise but due to COVID-19, this year the festival could not be observed like other years.

She, while taking to media expressed her desire to win in Olympic which yet to be fulfilled in her target list.

Olympic Day Run is an international Olympic Movement activity promoting mass participation of sports held in June organized by National Olympic Committees.
