AGARTALA, June 23 (TIWN): CPI-M’s indigenous wing Gana Mukti Parishad (GMP) has called for Governor Ramesh Bais’s interference against BJP and IPFT’s attempt to occupy ADC unconstitutionally. Today GMP had staged a protest in Agartala with 7 points of demands including demand of financial help to the people in lockdown. The other important demand was Governor’s control on the leadership of BJP and IPFT who are illegally trying to occupy the ADC. Addressing media, GMP President Jitendra Choudhury said, “Under Narendra Modi’s leadership Lockdown was very unplanned. Lockdown was obvious but there was no economic preparedness. In Tripura starvation has started. Amid a famine like situation, various banks and few other organizations are running a loot-rajâ€.“Govt should ensure 200 days MGNREGA mandays but instead of doing all these, BJP and IPFT are trying to grab the ADC illegally. Governor should control itâ€, Jitendra Choudhury told media.
