AGARTALA, June 22 (TIWN): Prabir Chakraborty, Tripura BJP spokesperson was brutally trolled in social media after he hyped the State Govt’s achievement on June 15 saying Tripura had no COVID-19 death.

Netizens came in quick reactions, asked, ‘Was Biswa Kumar Debbarma’s death a joke ?’

Tripura had reported first COVID-19 death in state officially on June 9. Chief Minister Biplab Deb in a tweet has announced, “Unfortunate to share that Mr. Biswa Kumar Debbarma, a COVID19 patient from West Tripura, is no more. Our Doctors gave their best but failed to save his precious life. On 1st May, he suffered a stroke (CVA) and was a patient of hypertension”.

But Prabir Chakraborty said, when the whole world is battling, it has to be said that Tripura has no COVID-19 death.
