AGARTALA, June 22 (TIWN): Tripura so far has been completed with 54,983 COVID-19 tests, according to the latest state COVID-19 updates. Out of 1,224 Positive Persons, 759 recovered and one person died whereas 4 persons are out of state as they are non residents of Tripura. On Sunday total 35 persons have been tested COVID-19 positive.In a tweet, Chief Minister Bipab Deb has announced, “Out of 1175 samples tested for COVID-19, 3?5 eople found POSITIVE. Among them 31 people have returned from Bangladesh, 2 persons have returned from Chennai, 1 person have returned from Bangalore & 1 person was in contact of a COVID19 patientâ€. However the recovery rate has been higher than many other states in Tripura and administration is putting efforts to minimize the numbers of COVID-19 cases with proper actions and breakage of the COVID-19 chain.
Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Sunday said Rs 190 crore has been sanctioned for augmentation of healthcare facilities in the eight Northeastern states, especially for the management of infectious diseases like COVID-19.
