AGARTALA, June 19 (TIWN): Amid standforth criticism, Govt yet to draw any line to control the fuel prices. When in big cities, fuel prices are touching Rs. 90 in Tripura it is Rs. 78.43 today. Petrol prices in Agartala have been turning more volatile, as prices of crude oil have been showing a firm trend. On Friday, petrol price in Agartala ₹ 78.43 (19th June 2020). The rupee has also moved lower against the dollar, which has made petrol prices in Agartala more expensive than before. It is hoped that the government can reduce excise duties, so as to enable rates to become more cheaper in the coming days.Petrol and diesel will now cost Rs 78.37/litre after an increase by 55 paise and Rs 77.06/litre respectively after an increase by 63 paise in Delhi, according to notifications from state-run Indian Oil Corporation, the country's largest fuel retailer. Big Cities, Petrol Price:
Petrol prices per litre were raised by 56 paise to Rs 78.37 in New Delhi, Rs 85.21 in Mumbai, Rs 81.82 in Chennai, Rs 80.91 in Bengaluru and Rs 80.13 in Kolkata.
Big Cities, Diesel Price:
Diesel prices per litre were hiked to Rs 77.06 in New Delhi, Rs 75.53 in Mumbai, Rs 74.77 in Chennai, Rs 73.28 in Bengaluru and Rs 72.53 in Kolkata.
