AGARTALA, June 14 (TIWN): Both Northeast states-Assam and Tripura have underwent changes at the administration and both are ruled by BJP Govts whereas National Highway which was earlier known as NH-44 and now became NH-8. But, although its name changed but the condition of the road remained same without any major development. Assam-Agartala road at Kanai Bazar to Patharkandi has left in deplorable condition and due to muddy ways and unmaintained roadways. This pathetic situation has turned movements of vehicles very risky in the Assam-Agartala road. In Tripura also across the roadways, the National Highways remained in pathetic situations, which has increased sufferings in the monsoon further. When both in Assam and Tripura, BJP Govts are functional along with Central Govt is under a same Govt, but so far no development is seen even after years of Double-Engine’s functional.
Before elections, Central BJP promised to solve all problems via the Double Engine Govt, but the so called Double Engine yet to benefit the common men in the region.
