AGARTALA, June 10 (TIWN): ‘Amra 10323’ teachers organization have sought alternative works based on honourium. Placing a deputation to the Education Director U.K. Chakma, the teachers mentioned about their 3 demands. One of the demands was for their alternative jobs / works in exchange of certain amount of honourium, so that the families can survive. Also they demanded an alternative die-in-harness jobs for the passed away 10323 teachers and also Rs. 35,000 for them. Talking to media, former teacher Dalia Das said, “Our conditions are horrifying. Without income, our situations are beyond describe. Tripura Govt has appealed for us in the Supreme Court of India to appoint us in non-teaching posts but our present situation is so tragic that we are unable to bear the family expenditure. We sought honourium till Supreme Court is giving its verdict”. Tripura Govt has appealed in Supreme Court to appoint these 10323 teachers in non-teaching posts but it was not listed for hearing yet.
