AGARTALA, June 10 (TIWN): A middle aged man in Dharmanagar was stopped and punished by city police for not wearing mask on Tuesday amid lockdown. However, police were heavily criticized for that.
Reportedly, Dharmanagar police while patrolling at night stopped a man and made him do sit-ups for not wearing mask.
Also the police is taking different initiatives to check on the people who are not following the guidelines of social distancing during the lockdown.
However, this step taken by police created a mix reaction among the common people as rules and norms are seen broken by the authority itself in different quarantine centers previously. Now the question have been raised among the public, why the authority is not keeping such strict eyes on the vital places such as quarantine centers where people have seen breaking the rules and the spread of infection is much more than other ones.
