AGARTALA, June 8 (TIWN): Finally Chief Minister Biplab Deb has melted ice over his long silence on the vandalization of COVID-19 care centre at the Bhagat Singh youth hostel.
Addressing at the Rabindra Bhawan, CM said, “It was really a bad activity and also injustice, when whole world is suffering from such a crisis situation”.
“Workers aren’t willing to go to the care centres due to COVID-19 fears. In such situations, problems may happen. But for that vandalizing of care centre is not acceptable activity. I was really hurt for that incident”, said CM.
A section of patients vandalised a COVID-19 care centre in Agartala alleging they were served "poor quality food", forcing the authorities to initiate a probe into the incident on June 2nd.
