UDAIPUR, June 8 (TIWN): Mata Tripureswari temple resumes darshan after long 76 days. The 500 years old temple ( One of the 51 pithasthans as per Hindu mythology) was closed for the devotees for this long period, first time in the history due to the deadly Covid-19 outbreak.
Various more temples were also opened on the same day.
Today with all other religious places across the nation, Tripureswari temple also reopens after two and half months. Despite of heavy rain from morning, devotees from different places have thronged for blessings.
But some rules and norms have been provided by the district administration for the devotees. Such as, devotees can't bend down infront of the goddess for blessing, they can't take 'Charanamrito' and 'tika' , they have to maintain a limited distance from the priest, there's a particular place kept for 'Dakshina' other than the usual, they can't feed the fish and tortoise of Kalyansagar lake in temple premises etc.
A strict distance of 1.8 meter has been followed in the line of devotees from morning. At the entrance of temple, the devotees are being screened and asked to adhere to the social distancing norms.
DM, SDM and other administrative along with police personnels are scrutinizing the whole temple premises since morning.
