AGARTALA, June 7 (TIWN): Tripura former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar who was criticized recently in media for his handpicked journalist surrounded interview, has rubbished the controversy’s root, saying, he would treat all journalists in same way. The controversy erupted after the former Chief Minister had an exclusive interview with journalists who were closed to him in the previous Left Govt’s time, but no other media was invited in the interview. Sarkar today was in a blood donation camp organized by CPI-M’s Youth Wings and in a tricky question, while replying, he said, “In a blood donation camp, I will not react in other issues except blood donation, but just like recently a group of journalists requested me for my interview and I tried to answer them as per my best knowledge but, in same way, all journalists are welcome for my interviewâ€.Thus, Manik Sarkar has finally reacted on his Media-Lobbying controversy.
Sarkar is not alone in the controversy, but the incumbent Chief Minister Biplab Deb was too in controversy after a group of media and media associations alleged that many journalists were insulted in Chief Minister’s press conference at his quarter.
