AGARTALA, June 5 (TIWN): On 05 Jun 2020, Agartala and Radhanagar battalions under the aegis of HQ 21 Sector Assam Rifles and Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) in conjunction with civil authorities organized *Tree Plantation Drive* on the occasion of World Environmental Day at various locations across the state including Agartala and Radhanagar.

Tree plantation drive was undertaken with the aim of improving the forest cover and environment in the area of responsibility . On the occasion of World Environment Day a total of 2250 sapling were planted by unit troops and families, the local administration and population also participated enthusiastically in the afforestation drive.
