JOLAIBARI, June 4 (TIWN): A BJP leader in South Tripura faced severe public rage centering MGNREGA wage distribution and beneficiary list.

Reportedly, infront of the Mandal Office, this incident took place. The  BJP leader has been identified as Krishna Goswasmi.

At first verbal clashes erupted centering MGNREGA and then it turned violent. Women alleged, for being abused by the BJP leader.

Later police came to the spot and rescued him.

Few women has complained that the leader has beaten them, assaulted them in broad day light. Police are now investigating the matter.
