AGARTALA, May 27 (TIWN): Citing Kerala COVID-19 Health model, Tripura Law Minister Ratanlal Nath on Wednesday has said that even the so called model state Kerala has made Home Quarantine mandatory and the persons going from other states, must be in Home Quarantine according to the Govt’s law there. Minister Ratanlal Nath reacted on this issue referring public led massive allegations, frustration over newly arriving people to state who were stranded outside due to Lockdown and many now tested positive. Addressing media, Minister Ratanlal Nath said, “People are losing patience. State’s people will come back to state it is natural. Even many states are trying to close quarantine centres. If 500 people live in a centre what about toilet and other facilities ? We must be practicalâ€.
“People are unable to live in the centres. Various problems are there, including food and now flood has hit states. People inside quarantine centres are shouting, screaming. That is why, WHO also said, home quarantine is the best. There is no point of putting people in trouble or unnecessarily torture them”, said the Minister.

The Minister has further assured the people that almost everyone’s samples among the returnees to be collected soon and there is nothing to worry.
Tripura Govt also has made committees to locally monitor and aware the quarantines at homes, to check whether properly followed or not.
