AGARTALA, May 27 (TIWN): When COVID-19 cases have surpassed 200 in Tripura and touched 600 in neighboring Assam, the Governments across the Northeast region are facing double challenges now with the unfriendly odd weathers.
The IMD has also predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during the next five days and over adjoining parts of east India during the next 48 hours.
In various parts of the capital city Agartala have faced challenges, as trees collapsing have damaged electrical posts, disruption, power connectivity. Various shops and houses were damaged and the rains are continuing, informed TIWN correspondent in Agartala.
