AGARTALA / CHURAIBARI, May 23 (TIWN): Miserable condition of quarantine Centre reported at Churaibari. The quarantined people said that they have been discriminated after they came by road, whereas the railway returners have been sent back for home quarantine. They alleged that their conditions are pathetic, no proper food also have been provided to them. Talking a woman, she said, “We are 70% dead in quarantine centre. There is huge negligence and we are kept like animals here, as if we are not humans. Not a single official has come to meet us or to check the situation. From water to food, nothing has been provided to us in sufficient manner, neither has any minimum quality”. Discrimination alleged between by-road returners and by-train returners asking, when Railway returners are sent for Home Quarantine, why the by-bus passengers can not go for home quarantine ? The quarantine centre is at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya.

"The Daal is nothing but water mixed with turmeric powder. Rice even given to us cold. Humans can not eat those foods", said a girl who is now at the quarantine centre.
