AGARTALA, May 23 (TIWN): The migrant workers of West Bengal who are now stranded in Tripura beg to return home. They are trying to go back to Bengal now, after got information about massive devastation in Amphan cyclone in state. The stuck in persons, who are locked for over 2 months folded their hands before media, with tears in eyes, were begging to go back home. “We are in huge trouble. Our children are crying there, our homes are destroyed. Please, send back us soon. One day we are eating meal one time and another day we are not eating. We came to sale items but could not do any work due to lockdown", said Prankrishna Sarkar, a stranded person.
"We applied online to West Bengal Govt and here we have submitted papers to the SDM but till now, no management was done by neither Tripura Govt nor by West Bengal Govt. Few clubs, Govt side and political leaders are helping but if we can eat in morning, at night we can not”, he added.
