AGARTALA, May 23 (TIWN): Prime Minister Narendra Modi''s Rs 20 lakh crore economic package will benefit the people of Tripura to the tune of Rs 4,802 crore apart from other benefits, Chief Minister Biplab Deb said on Friday.
Highlighting the scheme-wise package and possible benefit for Tripura people, Deb said that in each sector, schemes and package, people from all walks of life and profession in the state would benefit immensely.
He said that Tripura has over 500 micro, small and medium enterprises and several thousand people are directly and indirectly associated with the MSME sector.
"From the financial package, the MSME sector in Tripura will benefit by Rs 10 crore. Additional banking loan support with less interest rate will be provided to the people involved in the MSME sector," he said.
