AGARTALA, May 23 (TIWN): Tripura DYFI has hit the BJP Govt over the existing deteriorating law and order situation.

Expressing resentment over the law and order issues, DYFI Secretary Nabarun Deb said, on the one side, people have no food, no work but on the other side, BJP is massively attacking the political parties in many relief distribution programmes.

He said that it is quite surprising that from Panchayat level it has been announced in many areas that if anyone wants to donate anything, then permission is needed from Panchayat. It means DM, SDMs’ permissions now would not be important. Deb further blasted BJP for its leaders’ involvement in relief fundings misuse which was published in papers.

“Amid Section 144, in this state theft, snatching, murder, rapes are unstoppable. Before lockdown, there was a horrifying murder incident where a girl was burnt alive in Mohanpur but police failed to investigate the matter properly yet. As a result, such crimes are massively rising in the state”, Nabarun Deb told media.
