AGARTALA, May 22 (TIWN): The terminated 19323 teachers have staged protest today, in Agartala. They also declared statewide social media movement with slogan of, "Govt! Fulfill your promise."
While talking to media convenor Dalia Das said, "We organised this protest movement by following rules of Social distancing. And for the lockdown as many of us couldn't gather physically, we started a social media movement to remind Tripura Government for fulfilling their promises."
She also added, " We want the government to know about our pathetic conditions and find us alternative ways to survive."
They came up with two demands from the Government, 1."Govt! Give our jobs back”, 2. Govt! Fullfil your own promises."
Terminated 10232 teachers have alleged that they haven't received the one time 35000 rupees announced by CM Biplab Kumar Deb. The amount was announced by CM 45 days of the commitment they are not getting the promised money.
