AGARTALA, May 20 (TIWN): Administrative drive against COVID-19 Lockdown violators continues in state Tripura. MLA Dr Dilip Das, DM Dr Sandeep Mahatme, SDM Ashim Saha remained present during the drive.
Talking to media, SDM Ashim Saha has said that although Govt has made masks mandatory, but many people are still violating laws and thus, the District-level drive against No-Mask-Wearing was taken.
Officials visited various parts of the city, market areas and those who found without masks were punished with 100 rupees fines.
Masks were also given to the unmasked people, making them aware to wear masks. Masks were made mandatory for Tripura along with the whole country due to Coronavirus outbreak.
