AGARTALA, May 11 (TIWN): When increasing numbers of quarantine centres in state created tensions among a section of people, but SDM Agartala Ashim Saha has clearly said that these increasing quarantine centres to be to keep the people arriving in Tripura from other states, where they had been stranded due to lockdown. SDM also held meeting with officials in this regard at his office today morning, directing the measures to be taken for these quarantine centres' management. SDM said, “People of Tripura have to visit various places due to studies, jobs, even treatments. Due to the lockdown, they stuck in other states which included workers, private employees, tourists, patients. May be many of them are economically stable but as they are coming from various parts of the country, including Red-Zone areas, thus Govt has decided to quarantine them immediately after they reach".
"Trains are coming from Bengaluru and many will come soon. So the numbers of people will be increasing. That is the reason, we have opened various quarantine centres in Agartala following Health guidelines".
“We will make sure that after a tired journey, they should at least provided with drinking water and can take food and rest comfortably. Ofcourse we can’t treat them like hotels but will do our best”, the SDM said.
