AGARTALA, May 10 (TIWN): Tripura Police imposed lathi-charge on mob after they gathered in a place, demanding withdrawal of COVID19 Centre from Bhagat Singh Yuva hostel.

When police asked them to withdraw protest and started removal, Stone Pelting on Police happened led Police to lathi-charge on the gathering. Few received minor injuries on bodies.

This incident has hit Agartala city over COVID19 treatment Centre.

Local MLA Dr Dilip Das also rushed to the spot and talked to the locals. He said, such activities are unacceptable, mentioning yesterday’s Indranagar incident, where local MLA Sudip Barman had to visit after locals were forcing a family returned from Rajasthan’s Kota to leave the area.
