AGARTALA, May 10 (TIWN): After 26,000 stranded people have applied to come back to Tripura, Minister Ratanlal Nath on Saturday while addressing media said that it is not fully up to a state whether stranded people will be brought back and when to bring them back.
Nath said, only after mutual agreements between both states, the interested passengers can start their journeys.
The Minister also stated that after screening if a person is asymptomatic then only, he or she will be released from the existing state.
“The numbers of stranded people are already increasing time to time but till now, 26,000 have applied but these numbers are massively increasing per hour. Only 1200 people will be taken to train in first come, first service”, said Ratanlal Nath.
Talking about Tamil Nadu, he said that 5957 people are stranded there but Tamil Nadu Govt is saying that around 2100 people are stranded, but now after conversation, the figures are changing. Now, more than 1200 people can not be sent. Thus, 5 to 6 days will take.
He accused that West Bengal Govt did not agree about trains and thus, Tripura Govt asked for pass for Tripura people can come at their own expense.
