AGARTALA, May 3 (TIWN): An on-duty police official was attacked by a family when police went to save an old woman who was under torture of his son and daughter in law and the family members.
This incident took place at Dhaleswar, erupted massive tension across the area.
Reportedly, today the old lady when was being tortured by her son and his family, local youths gathered there and tried to solve the issue. But the family members attacked on the public also.
When police rushed to the spot, they turned violent on police also.
A lady constable who was packing bags and baggage of the old lady to send her to her younger son’s home, was brutally attacked. On that time, the couple’s daughter allegedly stretched the lady constable by pulling her hair and beaten her.
Then huge force had to rush to the spot to control the situation. All the family members were arrested by police.
