AGARTALA, May 3 (TIWN): Ex-MP Jitendra Choudhury has appealed to the State Govt to arrange special trains for stranded people outside the state.
Jitendra Choudhury said, “Tripura Govt too should take initiative to bring back state’s workers, students and others via special trains”.
He said, the people stranded inother states, all are left workless, stuck with the situation. Govt must think over the issue and bring back them.
Noteworthy, the Railways on Saturday operated over a dozen Shramik specials originating from different stations to transport stranded migrant labourers, students and tourists back to their homes. The final number of trains, said sources, could be higher with a total of 20 trains scheduled to carry roughly 20,000 passengers.
