AGARTALA, May 2 (TIWN): Snatching Corona-Virus free status, Northeast state Tripura is again in COVID danger zone with 2 BSF Jawans in Ambassa were tested positive in COVID19. Chief Minister Biplab Deb has announced this via his social media updates. Previously, 2 patients were treated in State and cured and now more 2 cases have been reported from Ambassa, totaling 4 cases. CM tweeted, "In Tripura two persons from Ambassa #BSF unit found #COVID19 positive. Total #COVID19 positive cases in Tripura stands at 4. (Two already discharged, so active hospital cases are 2, Update at 02:30 pm / 2nd May". Sources informed, both the patients were brought to GB hospital's quarantine centre, where previously two persons were cured. Tensions have erupted among common men since the information went viral. Police have beefed up security measures.
Earlier one from Gomati Dist and another TSR Jawan from North District were tested positive on April 6 and April 10. They are recovered.
Then in another case, recently a driver who visited Tripura to drop few people here, after he left, he was tested positive whose samples were collected by Tripura Health dept and thus tested. However, as the person is from Chennai and already left state, so that case would not be counted in Tripura.
Thus, with two fresh cases of today, Tripura recorded with 4 cases in total. Out of them, 2 recovered and now 2 persons' treatment started.
