AGARTALA, May 2 (TIWN): With two more fresh COVID19 cases in Tripura, tensions have been erupted across the State. The both fresh cases are of two BSF Jawans, appointed in the Ambassa unit in Tripura, which is in Dhalai District. Tripura was announced in Green Zone, soon turned Orange zone after a driver from Tamil Nadu was tested positive after he left Tripura by dropping 5 persons in 5 days journey, but now confirmed COVID19 cases have frustrated the state, which is already reeling under economic losses.Sources informed, both the patients were brought to GB hospital's quarantine centre, where previously two persons were cured. Tensions have erupted among common men since the information went viral. Police have beefed up security measures.
Earlier one from Gomati Dist and another TSR Jawan from North District were tested positive on April 6 and April 10. They are recovered.
Confirming fresh cases, CM tweeted, "In Tripura two persons from Ambassa #BSF unit found #COVID19 positive. Total #COVID19 positive cases in Tripura stands at 4. (Two already discharged, so active hospital cases are 2”.
