AGARTALA, May 2 (TIWN): SDM Agartala has visited markets to check commodity prices, after allegation raised about illegally increased prices.

Talking to media, SDM Ashim Saha has said that using the opportunity of national crisis, a section of businessmen are involved in illegal activities by charging more than the actual price. With this purpose the visit has been done, so that no businessman can illegally impose extra charges.

Cement and other construction work material selling shops were checked.  Other food and essential commodities shops were too checked during the drive.
