AGARTALA, May 2 (TIWN): Administration has started preparations for monsoon and checking the blockade prone areas, which cause water logging in Agartala each year.

SDM Agartala Ashim Saha has visited various areas and also checked the pumps’ operational capacity. These pumps are used in monsoon for water discharging.

AMC officials were also present during the visit.

Around 12 pumps are there along with other equipment.  Routine maintenance is going on to meet the purpose.

Earlier AMC Commissioner, UD Director Sailesh Kumar Yadav also visited the spots to check the half done projects which may cause water logging.
