AGARTALA, May 1 (TIWN): In a drive against poverty and starvation in lockdown period, poor people were provided with free rations.
In the distribution programme hoisted by local MLA Sushanta Chowdhury, MP Pratima Bhowmik remained present. Majlishpur Mandal President Gouranga Bhowmik and BJP kariyakartas also attended the distribution programme, maintaining social distances.

Jirania’s Sachindra Nagar Colony, East Barjala Panchayat areas brought under the relief programme. Total 300 families were benefited from it.
