AGARTALA, April 29 (TIWN): When due to lockdown, nationwide liquor sales are prohibited and all liquor shops are closed, taking the opportunity, a section of people started illegal sales of liquors.
One person in this connection by taken for interrogation by West Agartala Police in the city, who via social media directed customers to come to the Orient Chowmuhani to take liquors and took pre-booking moneys from the customers.
The arrested person named Abhijit Majumder, actually a resident of Udipur but stays in Agartala Joynagar in rent.
However, the person did not sale any liquor but allegedly he took money in advance and sold nothing. Receiving allegations, West Agartala Police had detained him. Police are now doing investigation in this matter.
