15th Finance Commission reports, Tripura’s expenditure in Salaries, Pensions are heavier

AGARTALA, April 26 (TIWN): The 15th Finance Commission has expressed concerns about Tripura’s expenditure on salaries, pensions stating it is much higher and uncontrolled in compare to the revenue generation.
Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb clarifying the matter said, “The 15th Finance Commission has expressed a concern about Tripura and few more states’ expenditure on salaries, pension and interest rates per head. It has been told the states, to reduce the expenditure State Govt must focus and how to balance between the total expenditure and total revenue”.
Also, the 15th Finance Commission has instructed State Economy Boards to rationalize the manpower distribution and also to rationalize the redeployments.
