AGARTALA, April 23 (TIWN): Chief Minister Biplab Deb on Thursday visited various affected areas due to storm and rain and also stepped in relief camps, met people there. MP Pratima Bhowmik was also present with the Chief Minister in the observational visit.
Chief Minister talked to the local people, observed the losses are being faced by public.
Deb on yesterday announced that reliefs to be given soon to the affected area’s people and Govt is there to provide full support to them.
“Approximately 500 houses have been affected. 5 relief camps (4 in Sepahijala & 1 in Khowai Dist) opened immediately, where about 550 people are staying. We are committed to help everyone in this crucial period when we are already fighting against COVID-19”, CM announced.
