AGARTALA, November 15 (TIWN): The international seminar between India and Bangladesh to boost tourism in both the countries was kicked of today at Shahid Bhagat Singh in Capital Complex area. The seminar will continue till November 17.
In his inaugural speech President of Tripura Tourism Development Forum (TTDF) Ajit Kumar Paul said that this is a joint venture of both India and Bangladesh to boost the tourism sector, which also provides good revenue collection to both the countries. The main objective of this seminar is to boost tourism of Tripura.
Number of measures has been taken to develop new tourism spots and conservation of century old monuments of the region like Neer Mahal at Melaghar, the second water palace in India, Unokati rock cut images at Kailasahar and Pillak Buddhists pilgrim at Belonia by the Tripura Tourism Development Corporation, Ajit said.
A total of eighteen delegates arrived to attend the seminar are President of Bangladesh International Hotels Association MD. H.M. Hakim Ali, Vice President of FBCCI Monwara Hakim, CEO of euro bangle tour Mohammad Jakir Hossian, MD of Mohakal media and tourism Rakib Hossain, CEO of travelers world Mehdi Billah and other officials of Bangladesh Foundation for Tourism Development (BFTD) were present in the Seminar.
A beautiful road show will also be organized by the Tripura Tourism Development Forum. All the delegates of Bangladesh along with the officials of Tripura Tourism Development Forum will traveled through the various routes of the city to promote tourism industry.
