UDAIPUR (Tripura), April 15 (TIWN): In a major development, Home Ministry has taken strict action against police official for violating constitutional rights of people and overuse of power on common men during lockdown period.

This action came immediately after a footage went viral in media, social media where a boy who was riding scooty was beaten heavily by a TSR jawan, until another TSR jawan stopped his colleague and saved that boy.

Police’s attitude was condemned statewide. The TSR jawan hit the boy at least 12 times and one of the hit fell on the boy’s head.

Tripura Police’s cell in a notice updated, “Some social media platforms are showing the beatings by one TSR Jawan in Udaipur, Gomati District.It is to inform you all that TSR Jawan has been suspended pending enquiry. Tripura Police does not subscribe to the idea of use of excessive force”.
