AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, April 11 (TIWN): The national lockdown has fallen on its Day 18. Along with the whole nation, Tripura also observed the lockdown, although, police are undergoing tough times to control the gathering in the local markets.
As India battles the COVID19 crisis, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday held a video conference with Chief Ministers primarily to take their feedback on whether the 21-day nation-wide lockdown should be extended beyond April 14 to stem the tide of the infections.
According to Govt of India’s data, 239 confirmed COVID-19 deaths occurred in India.
Confirmed cases have been declared till now 6565 whereas, 642 persons were cured.
Media report showed that India's COVID-19 count has crossed 7,000-mark today with the states confirming over 1,000 cases in last 24 hours. This was the highest number of cases India witnessed in a single day since the coronavirus pandemic. The death toll from the deadly coronavirus has surged to 239, according to ministry of health and welfare.
