AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, April 11 (TIWN): One more COVID-19 positive case in Tripura has been confirmed, taking the state’s total number to 2. The patient is a 32-year-old male from Madhya Pradesh and currently staying at Damcherra. He travelled along with the first COVID-19 positive patient in train.Assam reported first Corona-virus death in Northeast. The 28th patient of the State suffering from deadly coronavirus passed away at around 2 am in the wee hours of Friday. The resident from Hailakandi breathed his last at the Silchar Medical College and Hospital due to COVID-19 complications. State health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took to Twitter to announce the demise of the COVID-19 patient, the first casualty in the State.
Himanta tweeted: ‘With utmost Grief and sorrow,I would like to inform that Sri Faijul Haque Barbhyan,(65)Hailakandi District has expired few minutes back in SMCH due to complication of COVID19 infection.My deep condolences and prayers for the bereaved family.’
According to the latest update by the Union Health Ministry, India's total number of coronavirus positive cases has reached 7, 447, including 6565 active cases, 643 cured/discharged/migrated.
