AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, April 9 (TIWN): Tripura Medical staffs protest at GB Hospital begging PPE for them has raised serious question on State Govt’s preparedness. The protest of the medical staffs erupted after long suffered from lack of masks, gloves and other important things for personal protection, tension had erupted among the common men, which also affected the reputation of the state. However, immediately, the Chief Minister called a meeting, checked the available stocks of PPE in his state, assuring mitigating the crisis immediately. Total medical items were reported as : 1111 numbers of PPE, 1420 numbers of N95 masks, 8229 triple layer masks, 10000 liters of sanitizers and one lakh gloves are already available in GB hospital. Moreover, 2500 PPEs will arrive today from Guwahati. Govt team announced, total 2000 samples randomly were tested in total 8 districts among those who have cold and cough to find out whether they have COVID19 or not. Govt is now focusing on developing more and more testing process.

Till now, Tripura has only one positive case.
At the same time, unhygienic toilet conditions were also reported whereas another separate protest took place 2 days before alleging water crisis in the GB hospital.
After one Corona-Virus positive patient was found in Tripura after she was admitted in GB hospital's isolation ward taking around 50 persons in quarantine along with Doctors, medical staffs in GB hospital (where the patient is now kept) came in massive protest demanding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for them.
