COVID-19 : Tripura Govt announced Rs. 500 for around 90 thousand poor families from CM’s relief fund

AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, April 6 (TIWN): 92,899 families to be given Rs. 500 for lockdown survival from deep backward areas. This lockdown for 21 days was necessitated for massive outbreak of COVID-19.
Addressing media, Law Minister Ratanlal Nath said that this has been given from Chief Minister’s relief fund.
“Till the day before yesterday 6.14 crores rupees were donated in CM’s relief fund. Many people may think, what is happening to those moneys ? We have 12 blocks which are backward and thus have decided to give Rs. 500 per these families”, said Ratanlal Nath.
Total Rs. 4.64 crores have been invested for this from CM's relief fund. Ratanlal Nath said that massive donations are going on from across the society.
