AGARTALA, April 2 (TIWN): The country entered the ninth day of lockdown amidst a sharp rise in the number of people infected with the Covid-19 disease. The local administration and state governments have introduced a series of steps to ease people's suffering and check the outbreak of the virus.

The reasonless gatherers have been punished today in Agartala by police on spot instead of doing lathicharge or displaying any violence.

It has been day 9 (total 21 days), where poor people are trying to break laws but there are many such persons  who are coming out of home without any reason amid deadly outbreak of Corona-Virus.

Even few bikers are not wearing helmets also. Punishments were like sit-ups holding ears, kneel-down etc in public.
