AGARTALA, March 29 (TIWN): Amid COVID-19 tension, a person was arrested in Agartala by AD Nagar Police for spreading fake information about the disease’s outbreak in social media on Sunday. The arrested man has been identified as Abhishek Dhar, resident of Agartala, reportedly was spreading fake information desperately for many days.
It was seen that before 2 hours of his arrest also he was posting on social media.
The post for which he was arrested he wrote in it, “Corona entered at Agartala…ekdom pakka khobor…wait koro, news e dekhaibo…1 person positive at AD Nagar”.
On yesterday another man was arrested from Melaghar for same type of fake news spreading.
However, various fake news are also being spread from fake accounts, whereas police are working on those accounts also.
Till now nobody was tested positive in Agartala in COVID-19 out of total 88 tests were done.
