AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, March 27 (TIWN): CPI-M MLAs in Tripura will donate their area developmental funds in Chief Minister’s relief fund to jointly fight Corona-Virus, the deadly disease which has gripped the world. In a letter to the Chief Minister former Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty has said this to the Chief Minister. On the other side, ruling party MP, MLAs are also moving in the same direct to battle the COVID-19 jointly. Tripura along with the whole nation is maintaining lock-down to avoid killer virus Corona till 14th April. In Tripura, out of 2969 persons with travel history came under surveillance but no positive case was found with COVID-19.Total 163 passengers completed their observation period. 2533 are under surveillance.Total 35 passengers hospitalized and 35 tested with negative. Many other states are battling with Corona-Virus in the same way already. AMC and Urban Development Dept jointly distributing food to poor and homeless in Agartala two times.
Due to unprecedented outbreak of Corona-Virus in India, across the country elections and other utmost important official events are being deferred and now Tripura’s much awaiting ADC Election is also in halt due to nationwide lockdown, critical situations.
N. Darlong, Secretary of Tribal Welfare Dept said in a notification, “Ministry of Home Affairs has issued an order directing strict implementation of the Guidelines for 21 days guidelines…………having considered the alarming situation, the State Government of Tripura hereby defers the TTAADC Election. 2A2O for an indefinite period till further notification”.
