AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, March 26 (TIWN): Tripura Blood Banks will pickup and drop the interested blood donors from home and after donating blood s/he will be dropped at home.

The decision was taken as blood crisis has remained as a problem in this state and also unavailability of blood in blood banks is a major threat to the admitted patients and emergency cases.

Tripura generally remains on the top list in blood donation race. However, due to lockdown the blood donation row was broken.

In this condition, Govt has announced to take full travel responsibility of the donor.
