AGARTALA, March 20 (TIWN): The 10323 teachers on Friday has hit the Assembly premise demanding a secure livelihood before 31st March, 2020, as BJP before election promised the same to the teachers.
Teachers raised slogan, protested with full zeal under a joint forum of the teachers.
With the Coronavirus outbreak, the authority called the protest as illegal, imposed Section 144 and arrested the teachers.
On the other side, Tripura Assembly on Day-1 adjourned after opposition raised the issue of 10323 teachers and asked about the status of 13,000 non-teaching posts.
Tripura BJP Govt has declared to file a petition in Supreme Court seeking permission to recruit 10323 teachers in 10,661 posts, but ultimately no solution came out which has outbroken further protests.
